Elon Musk and his company SpaceX may be dominating the global space sector however theirs isn’t the only organization making great strides in Space exploration and travel.

Our very own organization ISRO has been doing some great work. From launching different types of rockets to planning the process of making reusable rockets. But recently ISRO has decided to explore a new way to fuel and power the space sector of our country.

As many as 60 startups have registered with the premium leader of our space mission ISRO. Many of these registered companies deal with the various aspects of space missions such as space debris management.

The Space Sector was unlocked recently by our Honorable prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi and since then 60 startups have registered with ISRO. These start-ups will deal with aspects such as launching satellites, nanosatellites, ground systems, and various other related research.

Giving wings to Indian startups

Our Union Minister of the State Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space is Dr. Jitendra Singh and he has been nothing but over the moon and extremely positive about the prospects of our country’s Space Sector.

He was discussing how the start-ups could further improve our space sector after the inauguration of the ISRO System of Safe and Sustainable management.

Jitendra Singh went on to admit that the passion of India’s startups and the strength of the government space institutions could truly break all shackles and touch new heights.

Dr. Jitendra Singh stressed the importance of private companies and the passion that they bring. The innovation and new-age thinking that the startups bring will also be key to achieving greater heights of success.

These could be key to the all-around development in all the domains which are associated with the space sector such as space transportation, space debris management, research, and infrastructure.

Significance of the IS4OM

The IS4OM facility will be very crucial in India’s path to achieve its SSA (Space Situational Awareness goals. It will provide comprehensive, detailed, and timely information regarding the Space environment to its users.

This multi-domain awareness platform will create new pathways of information and will have prompt, accurate, and extremely efficient information on various aspects related to space missions such as on-orbit collision, fragmentation, and even atmospheric re-entry risk.

Space-based strategic information could also be derived with the help of this system along with information on hazardous asteroids and space weather forecasts.
