Samsung created such display with a new type of composite polymer specifically for a fold able smartphone. The company claims that device is capable to transform itself for hundreds of thousand times without breaking down.
On unfolding, the Infinity Flex Display becomes of 7.3 inches with a support of three apps running at once. You can easily switch between both displays while using any app. There are many doubts regarding design of the device, its name, and its cost. Let’s wait for Samsung to clear all doubts with upcoming demonstration of prototypes.

With the heat of fold able phones in the market, a Chinese company Royole launched a fold able smartphone called FlexPai at $1300. Also, Huawei is working on a fold able phone with 5G support.
But, for the company like Royole, it will be difficult to develop software and apps supporting the device. Considering this, Samsung and other major manufacturers have got a benefit. Google has just announced that Android and its apps will support fold able phones. David Burke, VP of engineering for Android, confirmed that Google will be adding support for fold able phones to Android.

Early in the next year, we will find a fold able smartphone by Google and Samsung’s partnership. Let’s create a room for a new category called “Foldables” for smartphones.
Android could alert apps when the device is folded or unfolded, and the functionalities of the apps could be set accordingly. Just like landscape and portrait mode, we’ll have mobile and tablet mode.
With Google trying to add Android support for fold able phones, Samsung is also working on an emulator. This emulator will allow developers to optimize apps before it launches the phone. Just like notch display did this year, fold able display could do the same in 2019.
