KTM has introduced the 160 Duke in India and is priced at ₹1.85 lakh. This puts its price close to ₹15,000 higher than that of its main competitor, the Yamaha MT-15 V2. With a 10-year extended warranty, it will be arriving at dealerships in the coming 3-4 days.
The KTM 160 Duke is powered by a bored-out engine from the 200 Duke. The 164.2cc, liquid-cooled motor produces a maximum torque of 15.5Nm at 7,500 rpm and 18.74bhp at 9,500 rpm. These numbers are higher than those of the MT-15 V2, and they are also delivered earlier in the rpm range than the Japanese bike. Along with a six-speed gearbox, the engine has a slipper clutch and an assist. Additionally, the 160 Duke comes in three different color options in India, Silver Metallic Matte, Atlantic Blue, and Electronic Orange.
Additionally, the cycle parts are the same as those of the KTM 200 Duke. The steel trellis frame supports it, and it is suspended on 43mm WP upside-down forks in front and a preload-adjustable WP mono-shock in back. With dual-channel ABS as standard, a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc handle braking duties.

Among the many features of the new KTM 160 Duke are turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity with the KTM Connect App, dual-channel ABS with off-road ABS, LED lighting, and call/music control. Instead of using the TFT unit used on other Duke models, KTM has provided an LCD instrument cluster to keep costs down.
