Inflexor Ventures, an early-stage venture capital (VC) firm, has successfully announced the first close of its Opportunities Fund, having raised Rs 280 crore of its targeted Rs 350 crore corpus. The first close marks a significant milestone for the firm, as it seeks to expand its investment strategy, with HDFC AMC Select AIF FoF I Scheme emerging as the dominant limited partner (LP) in this round.

Inflexor also received fresh capital from a diverse group of LPs, including high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, corporates, and other institutional investors. This influx of funds indicates the growing confidence in Inflexor Ventures’ ability to identify and nurture high-potential startups. The VC firm expects the final close of the Opportunities Fund to be completed by the end of the month, with the fund already achieving approximately 80% of its target corpus.

Currently deploying capital from its second fund, which was raised in 2021, Inflexor Ventures has already made notable investments in companies such as Kale Logistics, Atomberg, PlayShifu, ClickPost, and BioPrime. The firm’s strategy with this new fund is to build on its previous successes and strengthen its portfolio.

As part of its strategy, Inflexor Ventures plans to use a portion of the Opportunities Fund to acquire the entire investment portfolio from its first fund. This portfolio includes investments in companies such as Atomberg, PlayShifu, Entropik, Bellatrix, and Cloudsek. Jatin Desai, Managing Partner at Inflexor Ventures, highlighted that the fund would not only acquire these stakes but also allocate capital over the next three years to potentially increase or maintain its ownership in these companies.

This development highlights Inflexor’s strategic shift to consolidate its holdings in existing investments while continuing to support the growth of its portfolio companies. The Opportunities Fund is poised to play a significant role in driving the firm’s future growth and expanding its footprint in India’s dynamic startup ecosystem.
