NASA’s Mars InSight Lander will start detecting Marsquakes soon
On November 26, NASA’s Mars InSight lander reached safely on the Mars. As the InSight lander is operating seismometers, it would help in detecting masquake. If there is an existence of a marsquake, it means the planet is active. And, active planet suggests that there are better chances of life.
Marsquakes also gives the information about the interior of the planet. Scientists can easily learn about the composition of the core, crust, and mantle, as different types of seismic waves have different arrival times.
Even if InSight detects no marsquake, it will still provide valuable information about the planet.

After NASA’s InSight scheduling, both Europe and NASA are working on the Mars 2020 mission. Both agencies will send a rover to Mars in order to study and detect signs of habitability, past life, opportunity, and other missions. Mars 2020 mission will also store the samples of any evidence and will eventually have a sample-return mission to Earth.
Both of these missions will help in understanding the formation of rocky planets. Currently, we have plenty of information about Earth and Moon. But, what about planets that lie between the sizes of Earth and Moon? So, Mars is the perfect-sized planet, as well as it is very close to Earth.
