Perfora, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) oral care company, has raised ₹39.8 crore (about $4.7 million) in an investment round headed by RPSG Capital Ventures, an existing investor. The fresh capital will be used by the firm to increase the range of products it offers.
According to its regulatory filings, Sauce VC, Lotus Herbals Family Office, Sara International Family Office, and a number of individual investors also participated in the round.
The Delhi NCR-based firm, which was founded in August 2021 by Jatan Bawa and Tushar Khurana, offers a variety of oral care products, such as an electric toothbrush, probiotic mouthwash, smart flosser, and teeth-whitening pen without peroxide. Following its appearance on the TV program Shark Tank India, it became extremely popular.
Perfora has raised a total of $8.4 million in the most recent round. Angel investors like Aman Gupta and Sameer Mehta of boAt, Bala Sarda of Vadham Teas, and Shashank Mehta of The Whole Truth are also among its supporters.
In the fiscal year 2022–2023 (FY23), its revenues increased by 970% to ₹15 crore from ₹1.4 crore the year before. Additionally, the net loss increased five times from ₹1 crore in FY22 to ₹4.9 crore.
