NxtQube, a drone infrastructure startup based in Nashik, has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding led by Venture Catalysts, with participation from Pontaq VC (STPI), Ananta Bizcon LLP, Rushikesh Bhandari, and other angel investors. The funds will be used to scale NxtQube’s operations within the defense and enterprise sectors across the Asia-Pacific, European, and US markets, supporting its goal of deploying 2 million drones globally.
Co-Founder and CEO Nikhil Rajput expressed enthusiasm about the capital infusion, stating that it will enable NxtQube to refine its Universal Drone Docking Station (UDDS), a key product designed to accommodate various drone types and applications. Rajput also emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating drone technology seamlessly into everyday life, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving aerial solutions worldwide. NxtQube plans to launch its docking station domestically before expanding to international markets.
The funding will drive NxtQube’s strategic expansion, allowing the company to invest in research and development, increase its product line, and target new markets. Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Co-founder and MD of Venture Catalysts, highlighted NxtQube’s potential to revolutionize drone operations by reducing costs and improving efficiency, noting that the company’s infrastructure innovations are critical to the rapidly growing drone ecosystem in India and beyond.
Additionally, NxtQube is developing new technologies such as battery-swapping modules to extend drone operational efficiency, along with swarm drone docking stations, logistics hubs for last-mile delivery, and virtual piloting platforms. These innovations are set to further solidify the company’s position in the global drone industry.
