Madhuri’s relocation was not a privately made decision. It was carried out in accordance with directions from the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the Bombay High Court. A wildlife care organisation was requested to assist in her care, ensuring her relocation was done safely and with access to veterinary support. At no point has the care organisation involved sought to take control of Madhuri’s future. Their role has remained one of respectful support, as guided by the court, only to offer compassionate care for animals in need. If the community desires, VANTARA is fully open to supporting Madhuri’s safe and peaceful return to Kolhapur, provided it is done with the necessary infrastructure, expertise, and welfare provisions in place.
