The defense ministry has awarded listed drone solutions company DroneAcharya a contract for ₹7.53 lakh to deliver training courses focused on drones.
According to the agreement, the firm would teach 8 Indian Army officials about drone building and piloting, DroneAcharya stated in a BSE filing. The training course will start on February 3 and go until February 12. It stated, “DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited has been awarded a contract valued at ₹7,53,040 by the Ministry of Defence, Department of Military Affairs, Mechanized Army Courses Group Ahmednagar.”
Earlier this month, the firm secured an order from Tata Communications for ₹5.5 lakh to build customized drone solutions. Additionally, last month, the company teamed up with Volatus Aerospace, a Canadian company, to build drones for the latter in India.
In terms of finances, DroneAcharya’s consolidated profit after tax (PAT) decreased by 62.1% to ₹1.50 crore in the 6 months that ended in September 2024 (H1 FY25) compared to ₹3.96 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.
