The funding will aid the company’s mission to build and support first-generation entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu, helping them evolve into innovators and job creators with a strong sense of purpose.

Founded earlier this year by Hemachandran L. and Balachandar R., Baanhem Ventures’ flagship program, Startup Thamizha, has already gained momentum, securing over Rs 200 crore in investments for startups over its three seasons. The show highlights first-generation entrepreneurs from Tamil Nadu, offering them a platform to secure investments and mentorship to grow their businesses.

The reality TV show serves as a catalyst to inspire and encourage HNIs (High Net-Worth Individuals) to invest in startups, thereby promoting an ecosystem conducive to the growth of next-gen innovators.
