Shashank Randev, a partner and co-founder of 100X.VC has left the early-stage venture capital firm.
Regarding this, he said on LinkedIn, “After 5+ years of relentless pursuit, a very rewarding journey with energetic founders, and scaling up dreams at 100X.VC, the time has come to begin the next chapter. I’m grateful for every lesson and every milestone along the way. Here’s to building, to dream bigger, and to the journey ahead… Let’s begin the next chapter.”
He further stated that during his time there, 100X.VC invested $20 million in 180 Indian businesses, supported 400+ founders, and “impacted” over 4,000 workers. Randev added that during his time there, he oversaw up to 100 investments at the VC firm, each with a ticket size of $150K for a startup, and 80 investments totaling $30K for each venture. He also stated in his post that 5% of the new-age tech businesses in the early-stage investment firm’s portfolio are Series B companies, whilst 12% of the firm’s portfolio consists of Series A startups.
Randev described his experience with 100X.VC as a “masterclass in innovation and resilience,” stating that the venture capital firm created the “go-to early-stage seed fund” from the bottom up with investors, mentors, and industry experts.
Randev and Sanjay Mehta established 100X.VC in 2019. The investment firm’s portfolio includes firms such as Vodex.ai, Kerala Banana Chips, Accio Robotics, and abCoffee. He graduated from Nagpur University and earned his Master of Business Administration from the International Management Institute (IMI).
