Gupta’s appointment comes shortly after the resignation of Lenskart‘s previous CFO, Mukti Hariharan, who stepped down to take a position at Coca-Cola. Hariharan reflected on her time at Lenskart, stating, “Last week marked my final days at Lenskart, and what an incredible journey it has been. I’m excited for the future of the business, and I feel immense pride in the high-performance team I had the opportunity to build and lead.”
As CFO of Lenskart, Gupta will be responsible for guiding the company’s long-term strategic planning and execution, with a focus on driving financial strategy and enhancing corporate governance. His experience at OYO, which is preparing for a stock exchange listing, will bring valuable insights to Lenskart as it continues to expand its footprint in the eyewear market.
Gupta left OYO in March 2024, with Rakesh Kumar being promoted internally to succeed him as group CFO after over six years with the company. His expertise in financial management is expected to support Lenskart’s ongoing growth initiatives and operational excellence.
