On October 16, EQT-backed digital engineering company Indium announced its acquisition of a majority stake in Experion, a global product engineering services company. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing Indium’s product engineering capabilities and expanding its geographic presence.

By merging Experion’s expertise in end-to-end product engineering—from ideation to market launch—with Indium’s strengths in data and AI, the company is set to offer an unmatched suite of services to clients across industries. “This acquisition positions Indium to help clients design and build scalable digital products, platforms, and solutions,” said the company in a press release.

As part of this acquisition, Indium aims to expand its employee base to around 5,000 and broaden its global footprint. The acquisition will also help Indium tap into Experion’s established capabilities in areas such as product strategy, cognitive computing, and experience design. Experion serves major enterprises in sectors such as automotive, insurance, mining, and transportation.

Ram Sukumar, CEO and Co-founder of Indium, expressed confidence in the growth potential, stating, “We are confident of unlocking multiple new opportunities with both existing and new clients and have set a revenue target of $150 million for the next financial year.”

Binu Jacob, CEO and Co-founder of Experion, highlighted the benefits of the partnership: “We are thrilled to be part of the EQT-Indium family and believe that Experion will gain significantly from Indium’s diverse offerings and global market presence.”
