Bengaluru-based product design startup Figr, has secured $2.25 million in its Series A Round led by Kalaari Capital, along with Antler, Golden Sparrow, and individual investors.
This funding will be used to enhance the company’s focus on its AI-driven design platform, especially in the development of advanced AI models for user interface/user experience (UI/UX) design. Figr plans to expand its team for growth and product development, setting the stage for future global expansion.
“Our vision is to empower every design team to create beautiful and functional interfaces without being bogged down by tedious, repetitive work,” said Chirag Singla, Co-founder of Figr.
“Now we want to double down on the technology that we’re building…You will see many AI models related to graphic design, text, and code, but UI/UX design is a very nuanced and specific problem. Currently, we are fine-tuning different models and testing them with a lot of data, but we want to make this technology much more robust,” Garg said.
Founded in 2023 by Moksh Garg and Chirag Singla, Figr AI offers a solution that makes it effortless and remarkably fast for users to create products. It streamlines the creation of wireframes, design systems, user interactions, and more, making it an ideal partner for design projects.
So far, the company has managed to secure a total of $2.5 million in funding.
The startup claims that it can cut down on design project timelines and lower expenses by automating repetitive tasks and facilitating rapid prototyping. The platform currently has a user base exceeding 75,000, with 80% of its users located outside of India.
“The potential of GenAI to revolutionise product development, particularly in design, is truly exciting. With its ability to blend collective human feedback and deep personalization, AI will transform design into a more dynamic and iterative process,” said Sampath P, partner, Kalaari Capital.
