Agilitas Sports, a sportswear and athleisure solutions platform, has raised strategic investment from Spring Marketing Capital. While the financial specifics of the deal have not been disclosed, the partnership is expected to bolster Agilitas Sports’ position in the sportswear industry.
According to a press release by the company, this new investment will enable Agilitas to expand and develop its brand portfolio more effectively. Abhishek Ganguly, the CEO and Co-founder of Agilitas Sports, expressed confidence that the investment would significantly enhance the company’s growth trajectory, providing them with the capabilities to further penetrate the market.
Founded by Ganguly, a former Managing Director at Puma India, along with colleagues Atul Bajaj and Amit Prabhu, Agilitas Sports has already garnered over $60 million in funding from a fund managed by Convergent Finance LLP and Nexus Venture Partners. In a strategic move earlier this year, Agilitas acquired the brand license for Italian sports brand Lotto from WHP Global. Last year, the company also took over Mochiko, a sports footwear manufacturer supplying to brands like Adidas, New Balance, and Reebok.
The company has made significant investments in areas such as manufacturing, research and development, marketing, and distribution. With these moves, Agilitas Sports aims to revolutionize the sportswear market in India and expand its footprint globally.
