Fashion startup Theater has secured $1.5 million (Rs 12.45 crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Prath Ventures, in addition to a collection of undisclosed existing angel investors.

With this infusion of capital, Theater aims to accelerate its expansion efforts, focusing on enhancing its e-commerce capabilities, strengthen its presence in physical retail, and refining its design and production procedures.

Established in 2021 by Sarthak Aggarwal, Vikram Jain, Karan Jain, and Shruti Aggarwal, Theater specializes in women’s footwear, stockings, perfumes, and bags.

Sarthak Aggarwal commented, “This funding empowers us to drive growth through new channels like quick commerce, expand our offline presence, and accelerate our design iteration and production processes.”

Piyush Goenka, managing partner at Prath Ventures, highlighted Theater’s unique position in the market, stating, “Theater is disrupting the Women lifestyle space with strong design aesthetics and impeccable product quality. Indian consumption story is at its inflection point and we believe there is a whitespace in categories such as women’s shoes and perfumes.”
