Meesho, the recognized e-commerce company, has named Mohit Rajani as its Chief Product
Officer (CPO) for product management, analytic teams, and design. Mohit Rajani oversaw Carta’s broad product line and led projects like global growth, and the development of new Generative AI-enabled solutions before joining Meesho.
According to a recent development on this case, Mr. Mohit Rajani’s responsibilities will include leading product innovation, enhancing customer experience, and creating a world-class organization.
The platform strengthened its board a month earlier with the appointment of four independent directors, Rohit Bhagat, Surojit Chatterjee, Hari S. Bhatia, Kalpana Morparia, and a former President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
Meesho is currently debating whether or not to change the organizational structure of its US parent company to facilitate its upcoming IPO in India. As a part of a bigger $500 million fundraising round, Meesho raised $275 million in May 2024 from West Bridge, Mars Growth Capital, and Tiger Global.
On the 29th of December, Meesho clarified their operating revenue which has increased by a whopping 77% to ₹5,735 crores, while the company’s deficit for the year ended March 31
decreased by 48% to ₹1,675 crore. According to the online marketplace, for the first time in Fiscal Year 2024, its operating revenue had jumped by 37% YoY to ₹3,521 crore, while its loss had decreased by 90% to ₹141 crore.
