SUMMARY

  • Darwinbox has promoted CTO Vineet Singh to the role of co-founder, recognizing his significant contributions to the company’s growth and technological development.
  • Singh has played a key role in transforming Darwinbox into a comprehensive HCM suite and expanding its engineering and R&D teams to 400 members.
  • The company continues to expand its global footprint and partnerships, with a 91.5% increase in revenue reported in FY23.

Darwinbox, a prominent HRtech platform, has elevated its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Vineet Singh, to the position of co-founder. This strategic move recognizes Singh’s instrumental role in scaling the company’s technological and product capabilities.

Vineet Singh joined Darwinbox in 2015 as its first team member, after spending the initial years of his career as an engineer developing products in both consumer and SaaS technology sectors. Since then, he has been pivotal in transforming Darwinbox’s platform into a comprehensive Human Capital Management (HCM) suite with 15 modules in just six years — a pace unmatched by any other enterprise HR technology firm. His efforts have also led to the growth of Darwinbox’s engineering and R&D teams into a 400-member strong unit.

Co-founder Chaitanya Peddi praised Singh’s contributions, stating, “He has successfully scaled our platform and engineering teams, making Darwinbox a leading player in the HRtech space.”

Founded by Jayant Paleti, Rohit Chennamaneni, and Chaitanya Peddi, Darwinbox offers a cloud-based integrated HR technology platform that provides solutions across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, payroll, employee engagement, talent management, and people analytics. The company has expanded to countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand, while also establishing new offices in West Asia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and the US. Southeast Asia and India remain the largest revenue contributors for the company.

Last year, Darwinbox partnered with Microsoft to co-develop solutions that integrate its HCM platform with Microsoft’s ecosystem, aiming to enhance employee experience. According to data from The Kredible, Darwinbox’s revenue from operations surged by 91.5%, reaching INR 224 crore in FY23, compared to INR 117 crore in FY22.

This move follows similar developments in the industry, such as Gramophone’s elevation of Navneet Singh Batra to co-founder and CoinDCX’s promotion of Mridul Gupta to founding partner.
