Reliance Jio Unveils AI-Cloud Offer with 100 GB Free Storage

Reliance Jio has announced the launch of the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome offer, providing up to 100 GB of free cloud storage for Jio users starting this Diwali. This initiative, revealed by Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) during the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM), will allow users to store photos, videos, documents, and more at no cost. Additionally, Jio plans to offer market-competitive pricing for those needing higher storage capacity.

In line with its broader digital strategy, Jio is set to establish gigawatt-scale AI-ready data centers in Jamnagar, powered entirely by its green energy sources. To support the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, Jio will also create multiple AI inference facilities across the country. The company plans to collaborate with leading global tech firms to bring advanced AI models and tools to India.

Mukesh Ambani highlighted Jio’s significant impact on India’s digital landscape, with its network carrying nearly 8% of global mobile traffic while maintaining data prices at just a quarter of the global average. In the past eight years, Jio has grown to 490 million subscribers, and each user, on average, consumes over 30 GB of data monthly. With the recent completion of its pan-India 5G rollout, Jio now boasts over 130 million 5G customers, marking the fastest 5G adoption globally.

Jio also plans to target 20 million small and medium businesses with its Jio AirFiber offering and aims to reach 100 million home broadband customers rapidly. On the AI front, Jio is embedding artificial intelligence across its processes and developing a comprehensive AI platform, known as Jio Brain, to enhance decision-making, predictions, and customer insights.
