Kae Capital, the Mumbai-based early-stage venture capital firm managing a robust $250 million in capital, has announced key leadership changes to strengthen its team. Former Endiya Partners executive Abhishek Srivastava has been appointed as General Partner, while Gaurav Chaturvedi, who has been an integral part of Kae since 2018, has been elevated to the same position.

In his statement, Sasha Mirchandani, Managing Partner of Kae Capital, expressed enthusiasm about Srivastava joining the team. “We have known Abhishek for a while and are delighted that he has agreed to join our partnership,” Mirchandani said. He further praised Gaurav Chaturvedi’s contributions, adding that Chaturvedi has played a pivotal role in Kae’s growth and development over the years.

Abhishek Srivastava brings over two decades of experience in venture capital, having previously served as the Founding Director at Endiya Partners. With a background in enterprise tech, software-as-a-service (SaaS), emerging technologies, and select consumer tech sectors, Srivastava’s portfolio includes notable investments such as Mylo, Altiushub, and Knit, with successful exits in companies like Steradian and ShieldSquare. Srivastava expressed excitement about his new role, stating that Kae has demonstrated leadership in institutionalizing pre-seed investments as a first-round operator venture capital firm.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Chaturvedi, whose investments include prominent startups like Zetwerk, Disprz, Hiver, and Zyla Healthcare, will continue to drive Kae Capital’s strategic vision in his new role as General Partner. Chaturvedi’s focus will remain on leading new investments, managing the portfolio, and supporting the firm’s long-term objectives.

Kae Capital is currently investing from its third fund, closed in 2022 with a corpus of INR 767 crore (approximately $94 million), nearly double the size of its second fund of $53 million. The venture capital firm also raised $50 million last year for its Winners Fund II, aimed at supporting successful portfolio companies in later-stage investment rounds.

The firm’s portfolio spans diverse sectors and includes companies such as Healthkart, Zetwerk, and Loantap.
