EQ Startup EMoMee Secures $1 Mn in Pre-Seed Funding

EQ-centric edutainment startup EMoMee has secured $1 million in Pre-Seed Funding round led by Whiteboard Capital, Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund, and DeVC.

The company has shared in a press release that the funds will be deployed in the launch of its first-of-its-kind products in the last quarter of 2024.

Cofounded by Pooja Jauhari, Varun Duggirala and Suraksha Subhramaniam in 2023, the Mumbai-headquartered startup offers skill-based stories, games, and other such content as learning tools emphasizing emotional intelligence for kids in the age group of 2-7 years.

EMoMee is dedicated to prioritize emotional empathy, resilience and consciousness in children and shape them into overall aware beings. It encourages parents and caregivers to conform with the purpose.

Its age-appropriate expert-designed skill based games kit, and other products build a universe around the characters of E, Mo, and Mee to promote emotional wellbeing.

The international social & emotional learning (SEL) market is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.3% from 2021 to 2030.
