Social media startup Pepul Tech Pvt Ltd has successfully raised $4 million in a pre-series A funding round. The investment was led by a “notable” family office in Tamil Nadu, along with contributions from existing investors, although the family office remains unnamed.
Pepul plans to utilize the new capital to advance its two key products: Pepul, a B2C platform, and Workfast.ai, a B2B SaaS platform. The company’s existing investors include Hourglass Venture Partners and Girish Mathrubootham, as noted by data company Tracxn.
“We’re very happy that a lot of great entrepreneurs and credible investors bet on our passionate team and our vision. The round was raised in a couple of meetings after visiting our office and the team,” said Suresh Kumar G, Founder and CEO of Pepul.
Initially conceptualized as a positive social media platform, Pepul has evolved into a dynamic app specifically catering to career development and job opportunities. The company also launched Workfast.ai, designed to streamline communication, collaboration, and project management processes. This comprehensive platform optimizes task and project management, enabling teams to operate with greater efficiency and agility.
Headquartered in Chennai, Pepul also offers access to mentorship, job opportunities, internships, and career-enhancing content curated by mentors. With a team of 40 employees, the company aims to build a multi-billion-dollar enterprise through Workfast.ai, targeting medium and large enterprises over the next five years.
The funding round highlights the confidence investors have in Pepul’s vision and potential, positioning the startup for significant growth and innovation in the social media and SaaS spaces.
