Cautio Raises Rs 6.5 Cr in Pre-Seed Round Led by Antler, 8i Ventures for Video Telematics Expansion

Cautio, a Bengaluru-based visual telematics startup, has secured Rs 6.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Antler, 8i Ventures, and AU Bank. The investment, comprising equity and debt, also saw participation from early customers and notable angel investors.

Founded by Ankit Acharya and Pranjal Nadhani, Cautio focuses on enhancing road safety in India’s commercial vehicle sector through advanced video telematics solutions. These include customizable dash cams and an AI-powered operating system aimed at transforming telematics data into actionable insights.

“With India ranking highest in global road fatalities, Cautio’s technology addresses critical safety issues by providing real-time responsiveness and enhancing driver behavior,” said Ankit Acharya, CEO of Cautio. The startup’s solutions aim to mitigate accidents caused by overspeeding, a major contributor to road fatalities.

Antler Partner Nitin Sharma highlighted Cautio’s customer-centric approach and technological innovation during the Antler Residency, emphasizing their potential to drive adoption of video telematics for safer roads and eventual autonomous vehicle integration.

Cautio plans to use the funds to expand its customer base across institutions, mobility companies, and logistics firms in India, building on pilot projects already underway nationwide.
