Apple clarifies thats “Battery Health feature in iOs 11.3 found missing in iPhone 5s”

Facing a lot of backslash for the bugs and battery problems in the previous updates of the iOs 11 operating system, Apple has launched the 12th official update for the iOs 11 which was rolled out in September 2017. iOs 11.3 the major update to the iOs 11 came out nearly a month later the release of iOs 11.2.6. iOs 11.2.6 had minor crashes caused due to the incorrect rendered character of an Indian language – Telugu. Another update with the new release is that you will get an important update regarding the battery health of your iPhone. To update your phone, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and download the latest version of iOs 11. The update is available for iPhone 5s and higher, iPad Mini 2 and higher, 6th gen iPod touch and iPad and higher. iOs 11.3 releases with a list of features including a new battery tool which was promised by Apple months ago. The new update features, “Battery Health” which gives the Apple users more information about their battery usage and other related stuff which Apple promised due to the severe backslash it received over battery issues in iPhones and other devices. Battery Health (beta) offers details like maximum battery capacity and peak performance capacity or when the device is throttled with power management issues.

However, the new update angered the iPhone 5s users as the Battery Health feature was not found in the iPhone 5s. Before the situation can grow any further, Apple intervened and said that iPhone 5s users do not have to get worried as the missing feature would not affect them as the iPhone 5s’ battery is different from those of iPhone 6 and higher. Apple promised that the iPhone 5s will still run to its maximum capacity nevertheless of the missing feature in it. Apple also added that the battery issue was found only in the 2014 to 2016 models and had to enable CPU throttling to decrease the chemical degradation caused to the battery. Having said all this, Apple still adviced its users to replace the battery if it is older than 2 years.

Apple was surrounded by many controversies when a report in late 2017 revealed that Apple wantedly throttled CPU of older iPhones in order to force the users to buy the new model available in the market. Apple agreed to all the allegations posted on it but said that the throttling had to be done to extend the life of the devices as reduced CPU speed would put a negative impact on the battery and avoid the sudden shutdown of the devices which was reported in many iPhones in 2016 and 2017.

Along with all this, four new Animojis were also added – a dragon, a skull, a bear and a lion. Other features include a – “For You” section in Apple News wherein specific content and videos were displayed to the users. Advanced Mobile Locations (AML) was also included which offers more accurate location details while placing an emergency call and also a software authentication feature for the HomeKit and a new privacy screen pops up in several splash screens too. In App Store, a minor update was added where users can sort the reviews based on the defined filters. Apple Music was also improved which makes it easier to find people who like the same as you do. Other bugs such as screen not getting activated while receiving a call, a bug which prevented voicemail playback, Bluetooth bug, a bug in App Store which did not allow Child purchases after Parents approval too etc were rectified.
