Apple unveils a red iPhone 8 latest partnership with HIV/AIDS nonprofit in Africa.

Apple has just uncovered a new variant of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. It comes with a bright red compound and a black front. A part of Apple’s proceeds will be donated to HIV/AIDS funds from the Global Fund. It’s the same iPhone 8 having the exact same features and similar components in other variants of iPhone 8. The device was made available in gold, space gray and silver color. It did not come up with a rose gold variant of the model. Before a year, Apple released (PRODUCT)RED limited edition of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Many people were shocked with the white bezels at the front of red variant of iPhone 7. Generally, red and black are considered a good match. Many people were not happy with this combination of white and red. Some also bought screen protectors with black border to cover the white bezels.

Apple has taken a new approach to respond to the critics faced by them for iPhone 7 models. The TouchID button is also made black to match the bezels completely. The logo is designed in the same way as it was done on the iPhone 7 (PRODUCT)RED. So, now Apple has decided to go with black. One of the coolest things about Apple’s collaboration is that the price of the (PRODUCT)RED variants are similar to the regular ones. iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are available in two storage capacities, 64GB and 256GB. Just like a regular iPhone 8 model, the red variant will be starting at $699. It will come up with 64GB storage and will also have 256GB versions. It is worth noting that Apple waits around 6 months before coming with the red variants of its iPhones.

This could be a way to improve sales during the production period of the company. Also, the last year’s (PRODUCT)RED special editions were available only in the higher-capacity models of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. So, although you do not have to spend more on the special edition, you need to make a bigger financial commitment. But, Apple has raised a big step forward to raise the funds for charity. Preorders starts online at 5:30AM PDT on Tuesday, April 10. The instore sales will go from April 13.

Apple has managed to donate $160 million to the Global Fund through limited edition iPhones, iPods and accessories in the past 12 years.

What about iPhone X (PRODUCT)RED?

Currently there are no announcements for iPhone X (PRODUCT)RED. The colors on iPhone X varies from the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. There are some rumors of an upcoming iPhone X in the gold variant. But, this won’t be coming for a while.
