Portl Secures $3M from Bharat Innovation Fund

Digital fitness and wellness technology startup Portl has raised $3 million in a new funding round led by Bharat Innovation Fund. This round also saw participation from existing investor Kalaari Capital and new investor T-Hub Foundation.

Portl, which gained visibility on Shark Tank India’s Season II, will utilize the funds to accelerate product development, expand its market reach, and enhance its AI systems.

Founded in March 2021 by Indraneel Gupta, Vishal Chandapeta, and Armaan Kandhari, Portl aims to revolutionize the fitness and wellness industry with its flagship product, the Portl Studio, and its integrated digital platform.

The Portl Studio is a state-of-the-art fitness solution featuring a 43-inch 4K screen, embedded bio-sensors, HD cameras, and edge-AI processing capabilities.

With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the Smart Mirror offers real-time form feedback, health monitoring, and telemedicine integrations. It provides personalized fitness and wellness experiences directly to users’ homes, luxury hotels, and gyms.

In June 2021, Portl had raised a seed round of funding from Kalaari Capital. With the latest investment, Portl is poised to enhance its technological offerings and solidify its presence in the digital fitness and wellness market.
