Google has been actively participating in improving the web experience for the Indian users. Recently, it launched many apps like Tez for payments, newer user-friendly versions of apps like Search and YouTube, Area for food delivery, and others. Now, the company is coming up with a new app called “Blog Compass” for users in India. The app will satisfy the needs of Indian bloggers to manage their websites.
Blog compass, which is now in beta, was seen in the Google Play Store this week. The app description mentions that it is only available in India.
The description further mentions that Blog Compass will help bloggers in managing their sites. Also, it will allow them to find topics to write about based on Google’s trending and top topics. The app will provide suggestions based on the bloggers’ interests and his/her posting history.
The app will also provide bloggers in managing their sites by tracking their site statistics, accepting comments, and providing tips on how to improve their blogs and make them successful. In addition, it will accept blogs from both Google’s own Blogger.com and WordPress sites. Blogger and WordPress are two of the biggest platforms used by bloggers throughout the world. Around 30 percent of websites around the world are running on the WordPress alone.
Blog Compass – a basic introductory app for new bloggers
Blog Compass is a basic introductory app for people who aren’t familiar with how the web of blogging works. Many people do not know how to manage their blogs efficiently to make them successful. Indian market is emerging and expanding rapidly. So, this app will be really helpful for people who are just beginning to become successful bloggers. Some people are using only the mobile platform to manage their blogs, skipping the PC platform. Such people can easily use this app to become really successful bloggers.
Any professional blogger would suggest you write posts on the topics that are currently trending on Google. It is a simple traffic hack. But, you will not necessarily understand how you can build a relationship with your audience. Obviously, you will get some clicks as you catch up one trending topic after another. But, as a blogger, it is more important to write about something you are passionate about. This will help you to build a strong relationship with your readers.
The Blog Compass website displays screenshots of some of the sample teachings. From those screenshots, you can easily get an idea about what the app will contain. For instance, it will include courses on things like getting started with SEO and analytics. Obviously, it will also teach you about ranking your website on Google.
The app has a simple UI, with navigation via tabs at the bottom of the screen to navigate through sections like Home, Topics, Activity, and Badges.
It seems an app is an all-in-one place for the topic research and blog management altogether. So, this is something you cannot do with the WordPress or Blogger’s mobile apps. Ultimately, the app focuses more on how to utilize publishing tools from those apps.
We will update you with more information about the Blog Compass as Google releases the app. Let’s see if Google expands the app to more markets in the future. For now, it is specifically designed for India.
