Apple introduces the new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR

Apple has announced its three new iPhone devices, and one of them is by far the biggest iPhone ever. The two new devices are named as the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. Both of them look almost similar to their predecessor. But, unlike its predecessor, they are both available in gold color option. Also, XS Max is not just the biggest iPhone ever, it is one of the biggest phones in the market.

Along with the iPhone XS and XS Max, Apple also announced a cheaper model called the iPhone XR. But for now, let’s focus on the iPhone XS and XS Max. These new iPhone devices can be defined by its spec upgrades. Both of them will have a display with better dynamic range, improved Face ID, wider stereo sound from the speakers, and improved water resistance. The biggest boost that both the devices will feature is the Apple’s newly unveiled A12 Bionic processor. A12 Bionic processor is supposed to be 15 percent faster than its predecessor A11. It is a six-core chip that uses 7nm process. Tim Cook believes that these devices are by far the most advanced devices they’ve created.

iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max

The introduction of the Max model is something out of the box. It has 6.5-inch huge display size which is by far the biggest iPhone ever. Also, it is bigger than the Galaxy Note 9 which features 6.4 inch display. Apple is aware of the fact that large phones will always rule the market. Though Apple took very long to create huge screen devices, it is now getting to the 6 plus inch screen sizes.

iPhone XS and XS Max have a wider aspect screen ratio than a normal iPhone. But, none of them will be really too big. The iPhone XS will have the same 5.8-inch screen size as the iPhone X. Max model will be larger than the other iPhones. But, you will be able to hold it easily just like any other iPhone as the size will increase more from height than the width.

The XS and XS Max will feature an all-new camera system. Both still have a 12-megapixel sensors for rear camera with optical image stabilization. But, the wide angle camera will now use a new sensor with larger pixels and a wider aperture. So, the performance in the low light conditions will be boosted. The selfie camera remains the same in terms of megapixel.

Apple is introducing a huge update for its camera called “Smart HDR”. This method is similar to the Google’s Pixel. It will take multiple pictures and stitch them together to form a single properly captured picture. Along with these updates, Apple is also adding some options in its camera modes to improve the overall camera performance.

Apple has also introduced a feature unlike ever before – A dual SIM support. Both the iPhone XS, and XS Max will support the use of two phone numbers using a single physical SIM card and Apple’s integrated eSIM card. So, in order to use this, carriers in different countries will need to add support for eSIM. Initially, the devices won’t have the dual SIM support. Apple will enable it later with a software update.

Both the phones will have an improved battery life. iPhone XS will have an additional 30inutes battery life and XS Max will have an additional hour. Also, they will support gigabit LTE speeds.

iPhone XR

iPhone XR is a great choice if you want to save some cash. It comes with the size between the XS and XS Max with a 6.1-inch LCD screen. It will have 326 pixels per square inch. So, it won’t have HDR display and would not look as bright as the XS models.

Also, it offers only one 12 megapixel camera lens. So, it doesn’t come with an optical image stabilization or 2× optical zoom. Still, it will feature a cool Bokeh-changing Portrait mode.

The XR model will be waterproof up to one meter which is half of the XS models. Also, it will lack support to the 3D Touch. So, if you want to miss these features, you can go with the XR model which is equally great in terms of performance and greater in terms of battery.
